slimduet® Thin SIM provides cost-saving roaming services across 80 countries and regions, offering travelers a convenient and affordable way to stay connected globally. As a co-brand of Taisys, slimduet® is part of the GreenRoam Alliance — an initiative aimed at addressing critical telecom challenges such as customer ownership risks, OTT-induced revenue loss (ARPU decline), price erosion, profit margin compression, and net neutrality concerns.

The goal of this project was to create a compact, travel-friendly packaging design for a reusable SIM card kit.

The design needed to reflect slimduet’s brand identity while ensuring practicality for international travelers who frequently swap SIM cards.

Design Concept

• The design emphasizes mobility, reusability, and convenience.

• The colour palette uses bright, travel-related tones to convey freshness and freedom.

• The illustration of a luggage tag symbolizes travel and global connectivity — the essence of slimduet’s service.

• The layout maintains a clean, modern look that aligns with the digital, borderless lifestyle of modern travelers.


Functional Design Features

• Compact Cardholder
The inner cardholder features a precisely die-cut slot for securely holding the SIM-eject pin, ensuring users have all the necessary tools in one convenient location.

• Reusable Pocket Package
The outer sleeve is designed as a small pocket, allowing users to store their original SIM card safely after swapping.

• Clear User Guidance
The packaging includes concise instructions, service details, and a QR code for app download, making activation easy and user-friendly.

The final design successfully balances aesthetic simplicity and functional precision. It enhances brand recognition for slimduet® while delivering a seamless travel experience for users.

The reusable design also aligns with the GreenRoam Alliance’s sustainability vision, reducing packaging waste and supporting environmentally responsible travel technology.
